Tribal Tattoos

Tribal tattoos are probably the most popular type of tattoos in the entire world. They are known for their simplicity as well as their good looks. Generally, tribal tattoos are just designs with many swoops and corners that are colored completely black. They were heavily influenced by the tattoos that many native Hawaiians and Samoans used to tattoo on themselves. There are many places that make great areas to tattoo tribal tattoos on yourself. Some of the more common types of tribal tattoos include the armband tribal tattoos, arm tribal tattoos, back tattoos and lower back tattoos. If you are interested in tribal tattoos but are unsure of some of the different styles and designs that are common in tribal tattoos, you may want to consider the following information;

Armband Tribal Tattoos

Armband tattoos are some of the most popular types of tribal tattoos. These look very good in the armband form. Typically, armband tattoos wrap around the entire arm, as if the individual was wearing an arm band. This is great because it allows the tribal tattoo to be one fluent design, and does not cause the individual to have to come up with a finishing point for the tribal tattoo design. Keep in mind that the tattoo does not have to go all the way around the arm for all of the individuals who are worried about the pain that is involved with tattooing the underside of your arm where all of the nerves meet. Some people choose to only tattoo the outside of their arm, and wrap it around just far enough to make it look as if it is an armband tattoo.

Back Tribal Tattoos

The back is another very popular place for people to place their tribal tattoos. The back provides enough space for the designer to make a large intricate design, and gives the artist plenty of space to work with. One of the biggest problems with tattoos is that the design can be very intricate, but the area you have decided to place the tattoo does not leave the artist enough room to work with. This is a problem that you will rarely find with back and lower back tattoos as they provide ample room for the artist to work with.

Chest Tribal Tattoos

Tribal tattoos that are placed on the chest fortunately experience some of the same pluses that are often experienced with a tattoo on the back. Generally, tattoos on the chest are not supposed to be all that painful, although there are a few areas that are more painful than others. The chest gives the artist plenty of room to work with and allows for the design to be quite intricate.

There really is no bad place to place a tribal tattoo design. Some areas may be much more painful than others but with a little bit of planning you should be able to minimize the amount of the tattoo that exceeds over into the extra painful areas.
