Cupid himself can be represented a number of ways but is commonly presented as a small young boy who is only clothed in a robe. Cupid shoots individuals with his arrow and then makes them fall in love with whoever they are looking at or with when the arrow strikes them.
Crossed Heart
You may have heard the popular expression, “Cross my heart and hope to die.” before. This expression has been around for quite some time, and has been made into quite the popular tattoo design as well. Some of the more popular ways that people go about this include the heart being crossed by barbed wire or some other material that gets the message across. Because of the negative nature of the expression, often times these tattoos tend to have a darker vibe and will often represent some sort of traumatic event in the persons life.

While usually only women receive heart tattoos, that doesn’t mean that some men do not choose to tattoo hearts on themselves as well.
